The Farizon SV – A Van of the Future

Farizon SV for blog

You may not have heard of the Farizon SV. To be honest, until very recently, neither had we. However, having seen this Chinese electric van in the metal at the Everything Electric Show in London, I can say that this is one to keep an eye on. In this blog post I will introduce you to this new van on the block. I think you may just be as impressed as the EVision team was.

Who is Farizon?

Having seen the Farizon SV first-hand, I was obviously driven, no pun intended, to find out a little bit more about the latest Chinese EV manufacturer to reach UK shores. This is what I found out.

Farizon may be unfamiliar to many. However, you may be more familiar with the name Geely. Geely are one part of the ownership behind the superb Polestar electric cars. They have also had a hand in a number of other electric vehicles too. Well, Farizon is the commercial brand under the Geely umbrella. Forming in 2016, Farizon has produced several commercial vehicles for the Chinese market. These include a range of vans, trucks and bus solutions.

Introducing the Farizon SV to the UK

Although more familiar in China, Farizon is hoping to make a splash in the UK market. Their British debut comes in the form of the delightful Farizon SV. The first delivery of these vans were welcomed to UK shores earlier this year on the 17th of February 2025. Reports state that sales are on track for the first quarter of the year, with the first customer deliveries expected to take place in the second quarter of 2025.

With what we are hearing through the industry grapevine, you should start seeing this fantastic van on our streets from the middle of 2025. There’s certainly no shortage of interest in this vehicle, which has been purposely built for the European market. Having recently received a platinum award for safety, there is much to pique the interest of many on the lookout for a really good commercial electric vehicle.

Looks and Performance

When you want to stand out from the crowd, it doesn’t hurt to look slightly different. Well, the Farizon SV certainly ticks that box. There is a particular styling to this van that makes it undeniably a vehicle for the next generation. Fans of the traditional looking van may not be too sure what to think of the uniquely bulbous front. However, I absolutely love it. This gives the van a real character.

Performance is where the Farizon SV really takes it to the next level. There will be 8 variants of the panel van available for the UK market, with a WLTP range of between 177 and 247 miles. The urban WLTP range is said to be up to 342 miles!

UK-based testing is underway to validate the real world laden and unladen range figures. However, there is said to be a payload of 1,390 kg and a load capacity of up to 13 metres cubed. If these figures are accurate, then you can expect this vehicle to make a serious dent in the British market.

A Few Final Words

There have been several amazing vans released in the UK electric van market in recent years. Big guns such as the Ford e-Transit, the Vauxhall Vivaro-e and the Vauxhall Combo-e have certainly made a significant contribution to the EV van industry.

As already stated, the Farizon SV has incredibly impressive stats. It is also a superb looking commercial vehicle. So, if the figures are accurate, you can expect this Chinese manufacturer to make a serious splash in UK waters. They certainly mean business.
