Sales Manager – Job description

We are looking for a Sales Manager to manage the customer relations and selling of our electric vehicles. 

A new and exciting role has been established that needs the right candidate to come in and make their mark from the very start. The current fleet is varied with models that include Tesla, BMW, Audi and Jaguar and, as the vehicles are renewed, the old vehicles are to be sold.

As one of the leading Electric Vehicle (EVs) hirers in the UK, we are looking for a bright and enthusiastic Sales Manager to come in to the business and drive forward our electric vehicle sales.  Working alongside our Buy-A-Digger Sales team, the successful candidate will be responsible for selling the hire fleet at the end of its rotation.

The successful candidate must have the following:

  • Excellent knowledge of EVs.  You will be expected to have a sound working knowledge of EVs. However, there is scope to learn from an excellent team around you.
  • Customer Service.  Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
  • Communications.  Excellent communicator with both customers and colleagues.
  • Current market.  Good and accurate knowledge of the current market.
  • Administration.  Good administrative skills and confidence with figures.
  • Adaptable and a quick learner.  Being able to quickly adapt to new surroundings and procedures.
  • Professional.  The successful person must be professional in all aspects: dress, appearance and attitude. 
  • Team player.  The successful candidate must be a team player and have a can-do attitude from the outset. 
  • Work independently.  Trusted to work independently and with little to no supervision or guidance.
  • Mentor. There will be a junior member as part of the new team – the successful candidate will be expected to be able to lead and mentor.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Salaried – negotiable 

Hours can be flexible.

Experience:

  • Car Sales Experience : 2 years (preferred)
