In the electric vehicles world, there are so many great electric cars being brought out every year that we sometimes forget about the great electric vans that we have in the UK. So, with that in mind, we will have a look at some of these magnificent vans that we have available to hire at EVision.
Vauxhall Combo-e
The first of the great electric vans that we want to introduce is the Vauxhall Combo-e. This is a fantastic medium sized electric van that has proven to be incredibly popular. We know from speaking to some of our customers that this vehicle is hired for a wide range of reasons. Some wanted a van big enough for their needs, but didn’t feel so comfortable in the full-sized vans that are also available.
For a medium-sized van, the Vauxhall Combo-e has a surprisingly big cargo area. This is down to the fantastic design and build of the vehicle. The total load volume that you can fit in is a great 4.4m3. Vauxhall has to be given kudos for a pretty amazing cabin as well. Comfortable and with a nice design language, Vauxhall has done a superb job.
Vauxhall Vivaro-e – The Second of the Great Electric Vans
When it comes to great electric vans, Vauxhall seems to be excelling. At EVision we have the L2 version of the Vauxhall Vivaro-e available to hire, and this is more what we think of as a traditional sized work van. It is a durable electric van that is built for the toughest jobs.
As a large electric van, there is obviously a lot more space in the cargo area. In fact, you get an awesome 9.6 cubic metres. There is a payload capacity of 1,002kg which is a considerable amount of weight. Moving onto the cabin, again, Vauxhall has a roomy and really nicely designed space in the Vauxhall Vivaro-e. No wonder so many people are drawn to the van.
Mercedes eVito Panel Van
The Mercedes eVito panel van is a stunning feat of manufacturing by the German automobile geniuses. This is a premium electric van that offers comfort as well as practicality. It takes a lot to make a van look appealing to the eye, and Mercedes have done just that. A lot of this comes from the big, imposing grille at the front with the large Mercedes motif attached.
The cargo area is pretty sizable with an impressive load volume of 6.6m3. There’s a payload capacity of 1,845kg available as well. Looking into the cabin you can see a premium design with supremely comfortable seats and a lush dashboard, including the spectacular infotainment system.
As you might expect, the Mercedes eVito is a luxury work van with premium touches throughout. After all, you want to look after the people in the front as well as the load or equipment in the back.
Volkswagen ID.Buzz
OK, strictly speaking, this is not a work van. The version available from EVision Electric Vehicles is actually a 5-seater vehicle. However, due to its shape and size, we will include it in the list of our great electric vans.
The build up to the release of the Volkswagen ID.Buzz was huge and it was long. We had to be patient to see this magnificent vehicle in the flesh, and it was worth it. There will be many of us who remember the iconic VW camper vans of yesteryear. The ID.Buzz is the perfect ode to those beloved motor vehicles. However, although there is the nostalgic feel to the Volkswagen ID.Buzz, it is still unmistakably a van of the 21st Century, and an electric one at that.
A big selling point of the ID.Buzz is the amount of space you get. Not just in the boot, which is unbelievably huge, but also throughout the cabin. This is a practical and fun EV, and that is why we love it so much.
In Conclusion
As the electric vehicle revolution continues to roll forward, it isn’t just the electric cars that we should be paying attention to. In fact, it is the world of vans and other construction vehicles where the most important movements take place. These are vehicles that carry products, equipment and workmen and women around the nation, and the great electric vans should be celebrated for it. It’s certainly what we do.
