For those concerned about charging, the EV4’s battery can plug in at ultra-fast chargers (up to 350 kW), taking you from 10% to 80% in just 29 – 31 minutes, even with the 81 kWh pack.
Inside, it’s as modern as the exterior. Drivers will benefit from twin 12.3″ screens flanking a 5.3″ climate display, giving you a 30″ panoramic digital cockpit. Amenities include an AI assistant (yes, powered by ChatGPT), a “Rest Mode” for the front seats, “Theatre Mode” for streaming video, and Apple CarPlay / Android Auto. With a 435 L boot (hatchback) or 490 L (sedan), it’s supremely practical too.
Affordability & Market Positioning
Starting from around £34,695 in the UK, the EV4 undercuts premium rivals like the Tesla Model 3 and Polestar 2. Despite its lower 400 V architecture, which aims to keep costs down, it still offers ultra-fast charging; the only minor concession is that it doesn’t hit the 800 V charging speeds of the EV6 or Ioniq 5. But with the cost-savings and realistic daily usability, the EV4 manages impressive value for money.
