If you are a regular reader of the EVision blog posts you will be aware that we will be attending the Fully Charged Show Live at Farnborough from the 28th to the 30th of April 2023. Yet another great show is anticipated with a host of fantastic vehicles and green energy innovations.

Here is a reveal of what you can expect to see from EVision at this years’ show and what we hope to also see in the metal when we attend. The Fully Charged Show Live is always an exciting event and it is a great way to see what lies ahead.

The Rivian R1T

Yes, the Rivian R1T which we launched at Diggerland in March will be available to view when we make an appearance at the show. This is a hugely popular vehicle that has not been viewed by many in Europe. We expect there to be a lot of interest once again when we show the truck off in Farnborough.

This exceptional pickup truck is packed full of delights. We found the tunnel through the centre of the vehicle was a particular highlight, especially with the children. Performance wise, the Rivian R1T is in a class of its own for any vehicle of comparable size. A whopping real world range of 250+ miles makes this a very practical vehicle indeed.

And then we have the performance. A top speed of 115mph and a large pickup truck that can achieve a 0-60mph time of just 3.3 seconds. This was demonstrated on our launch day and it blew people away.

The Ford F150 Lightning

It isn’t just the Rivian R1T that we have managed to acquire from our American cousins across the pond. We have also got our hands on the Ford F150 Lightning electric pickup truck. This is another real treat that demonstrates how strong the pickup truck manufacturing is going at the moment. We can’t wait to show the vehicle off at the Fully Charged Show Live this year.

What we can tell you about this new truck is that there are currently, at the time of writing, no plans for release in the UK. Although the vehicle will have a release in Australia in 2023. Like the Rivian, this is a big American style pickup truck that is packed with great features. The storage space in the frunk is absolutely insane. I have never seen such space in a frunk, even including the Tesla Model X RWD.

The performance of the Ford F150 Lightning will also be an eye opener. Its real world range is expected to be similar to that of the Rivian R1T and it will hit 0-60mph in the mid 4 seconds range. Absolutely incredible.

The Volkswagen ID.Buzz Life

Another vehicle that appeared at the Rivian launch event at Diggerland in March was the super quirky Volkswagen ID.Buzz Life. This was another really popular car that caught the attention of the public.

If you want to see a vehicle that will dazzle you with nostalgia, whilst bringing a classic vehicle design into the modern age, then the Volkswagen ID.Buzz Life is a vehicle you won’t want to miss.

What Else Do We Expect to See There?

As you would expect, there will be tonnes of stuff to see and do at the show. Here are a few things that we hope to lay our eyes on.

There will be Chinese representation at the show in the form of BYD and Ora. Both of these manufacturers are hoping to take a chunk of the UK market in the very near future.

I’m really hoping to see the BYD ATTO and hopefully the Seal. BYD has announced that the Fully Charged Show Live will be the official launch in UK. From Ora I would love to see the Cat or any newer vehicles they have on offer. China is going to be a massive supplier in the next year or two. Look out for what they have to offer.

Genesis is exhibiting at the event which means a very premium car from the premium arm of Hyundai/Kia. Whatever they have on show will be worth looking at. Polestar too will be in attendance. From Polestar I really hope they have the Polestar 3 on display. Of course, it is Polestar, so whatever they show will probably be amazing.

Anything Else?

Yes, absolutely! As previously stated, the Fully Charged Show Live has fully expanded to include so many areas of the green energy industry.

Home living exhibitors will be showing off a whole range of fantastic wares, from solar power to home heat pumps. If you are looking to lower your carbon footprint in the home, then you will be spoiled for choice at the event.

Another exciting prospect appearing at the show are the celebrity chefs Henry Firth and Ian Theasby. This talented duo fresh from their ITV show “Living on the Veg” will be serving up fantastic plant based food to the crowd. And what is even more amazing is the fact that their whole kitchen will be powered by an electric vehicle!

We cannot wait to see you at the show. If you see us there, please come over and say hello.
