The Vauxhall Astra-e is set to launch in 2023!

Blue Astra-e

2022 has undoubtedly been a fantastic year for the electric vehicle market, and 2023 will be no different. With plenty of EVs already on the market from one particular manufacturer, they are planning on adding to their collection very soon. Can you guess who we’re talking about? Of course it’s Vauxhall, and we’re incredibly excited to see the launch of the Vauxhall Astra-e!

Let’s take a look at the upcoming model below.

THE ALL NEW VAUXHALL ASTRA-E

Vauxhall have taken the pledge to electrify all of their current models by 2024, and the Astra is certainly next on the list. Following the introduction of the plug-in hybrid variant, the all-electric Vauxhall Astra-e is due to join the market in 2023. However, an estimated date has not been given yet, but keep an eye out for the release date!

Interior

Technical details for the Vauxhall Astra-e are scarce at the moment, and it is definitely being kept under wraps for the time being. As we don’t have too much information to work with at the moment, we can imagine it will be close in specs to the new Vauxhall Astra Hybrid that has recently been released.

So far we can see that the hybrid model has been kitted out with:

A multimedia screen made up of a 10-inch colour touchscreen and a 10-inch digital cluster with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

  • 17 inch alloy wheels
  • Cruise Control
  • Traffic Sign Recognition
  • All round vehicle parking sensors
  • Heated seats and steering wheel
  • Keyless entry and start

It will probably be very similar in tech to both the Mokka-e and Corsa-e, however it has a considerably larger amount of boot space in the rear. We can’t wait to find out more!

Exterior

So what we do know about the exterior is that, the Aatra-e will be released as a hatchback and a Sports Tourer estate as well. It is likely that this EV will be pretty similar to the combustion engine version in terms of shape, design and features. Especially as we compare the difference in design between the Corsa-e and the Mokka-e. We shall have to watch this space and see what sort of vehicle will be released!

In terms of the battery, we should expect to see a similar battery size to the upcoming Peugeot e-308 electric vehicle. This being a 54kWh battery and a 154bhp electric motor. Peugeot have claimed that their EV will have approximately 250 miles of range, and we can expect to see something similar in the Vauxhall Astra-e. Impressive!

Will the Vauxhall Astra-e be available from EVision?

Keeping with the EVision tradition, we know that our customers absolutely love hiring and driving various vehicles from the Vauxhall range, so why would this EV be any different? We can anticipate that the Vauxhall Astra-e will be joining the EVision fleet, but watch this space for the latest news and updates.

In the meantime, if you’re a Vauxhall fan then we have a large choice of electric vehicles for you to choose from.

ARE VAUXHALL LEADING THE WAY FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES?

Aside from the typical manufacturers such as Tesla and Mercedes, who have both got a variety of vehicles to choose from, Vauxhall are certainly following in their footsteps. Whether you’re looking to hire an electric van or want to stick to driving an electric hatchback, we’ve got you covered!

Hire a Vauxhall Corsa-e

The iconic Corsa was certainly a much loved fan favourite when the combustion engine model was released , and the electric version has definitely gone down a storm too!

As the world moves towards cleaner driving, the Vauxhall Corsa-e is a perfect choice for first time drivers, commuters and even small families. Frankly, it is great for pretty much anyone.

Being awarded the ‘Value Car of the Year’ in the 2021 Motor Awards, the Corsa is certainly a highly ranked car that seems to be performing well in the EV industry. So what will you be getting when you hire a Vauxhall Corsa-e?

Aside from a 0 – 60mph in 7.6 seconds and a real world range of 195 miles, drivers will be able to enjoy:

  • 7-inch colour infotainment screen
  • Connecting to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto
  • Cruise Control
  • Large boot space

Hire the Vauxhall Mokka-e

As of April 2021, Vauxhall began to roll out the all new Vauxhall Mokka-e. Now, we know that it’s not at the top of everyone’s list, but don’t write it off until you give it a try.  It is another vehicle from the Vauxhall brand that is incredibly similar to its predecessor. In terms of exterior styling, aside from the fuel cap and the ‘e’ motif on the vehicle there is no difference.

The interior of the Vauxhall Mokka-e will really make you want to drive the vehicle. Pulling away from the conventional Mokka, the Mokka-e has been designed with a panel infotainment system consisting of a central screen as well as a digital driver’s display. Very techy right?

Along with the technological advancements clearly seen within this EV, we feel as though there is certainly a balance between that and familiarity. Vauxhall are clearly trying to market a traditional car which is perfect for everyone, which will hopefully entice drivers to make the switch to electric.

If the Vauxhall Mokka-e is for you then you can drive away today from only £14.21 per day!

Hire a Vauxhall Vivaro-e van

Moving onto electric vans for hire, the Vauxhall Vivaro-e is the clear frontline winner at EVision currently. Have you experienced it yet?

For many UK van drivers the biggest barrier to switching to an electric van is their range. It often detters potential customers from making the switch to the electric variant. However, the Vauxhall Vivaro-e has a very respectable 175 miles of range. Plus a maximum payload of 987kg (Double Cab) or 1002kg (Panel Van). This will greatly benefit anyone looking to make the switch to an electric van for work purposes.

For those that are not fond of change, the interior of the Vauxhall Vivaro-e is nearly identical to its petrol and diesel counterparts. One of the main changes is that the standard gear stick has been replaced with a simple to use rocker switch instead.

Drivers can also make the most of:

  • A fully adjustable driver’s seat, cruise control
  • A 7-inch infotainment screen
  • Rear view camera and parking sensors
  • Lane departure warning
  • Satellite navigation

The Vauxhall Vivaro-e can be hired from just £26.67 per day (based on a 3 year rental).
