The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has been around for a couple of years now and it is still as impressive as the first day it was showcased.

An unparalleled Style

It is a safe bet that most, if not all, of the people reading this blog post will be familiar with the Ioniq 5. So, how would you describe the car’s looks? It’s not so easy is it?

I have tried so many times to give readers a clear picture of the Ioniq 5 before but it is not straightforward. The Ioniq 5 is simply unlike anything we have seen before. There is a really interesting mix of modern and retro style about the vehicle.

You’ll see some really nice sharp lines around the Ioniq 5. There is no grille at the front in the traditional sense. Instead there is a polished and flat nose with a lovely silver moustache leading to the centre.

The retro side comes from the lighting. As someone who grew up in the 80’s, I remember cube styles being really fashionable. I’m sure most people will be familiar with the Rubik’s Cube for example. The cubed style headlights really takes me back to that time.

Style doesn’t end on the outside of the Ioniq 5. The interior as well offers something very different. There is an air of coolness about the cabin. The dashboard is clean and uncluttered, and the infotainment system is absolutely sublime.

Space is not an issue in the Ioniq 5. Having been built on bespoke EV architecture, the Ioniq 5 has a very flat floor. This means that even the passenger sitting in the middle seat in the back of the cabin doesn’t have to awkwardly manoeuvre their legs.

The driver’s position has been well thought out. Although this SUV does look a bit like a sports car, the driver sits in a higher up position which gives a superior view of the road ahead. The 360 vision of the vehicle is superb and you have rear parking cameras to assist you when reversing.

A Leading Performance From a Great Electric Car

Here at EVision we have both the 2WD and 4WD versions of the Hyundai Ioniq 5. Lets have a look at both of them.

First up is the 2WD version. With this Hyundai Ioniq 5 you get 240 miles of real world range, a top speed of 115mph and you can achieve 0-62mph in an impressive 7.4 seconds.

In the 4WD version the stats don’t actually change all that much. You get a real world range of around 235 miles, there is a top speed of 115mph again, but you can reach 0-62 in an incredible 5.2 seconds. This is really quite impressive.
