We’re super excited to be attending Fully Charged OUTSIDE, the UK’s largest event which will promote electric vehicles (EVs) and green technology. Here at EVision, we will be showing off the brilliant BMW i3, the punchy I-Pace and the vibrant Vivaro-e!
There will be thousands of guests attending the Farnborough International Exhibition Centre who are looking to make the shift to clean motoring and more sustainable lifestyles. From Friday 3rd September to Sunday 5th September you can find EVision inside the central display area in spot G1, which is directly opposite the Recharge Zone.
The three day event will exhibit every electric car currently available in the UK! Guests will have the chance to test drive their favourite electric vehicles and there will be some great discussions too!
Kicking the event off is Maddie Moate, Fully Charged presenter, who will be debating ‘how cool a zero-carbon future could be.” In an attempt to convert petrol or diesel car owners to EV owners, Jack Scarlett will be finishing off the event with a discussion about buying second hand electric vehicles.
With over 150 exhibitors to help navigate guests towards a greener lifestyle, Dan Ceaser, Fully Charged joint CEO, said “The world as we know it is changing fast. We’re proud to be playing a part in the transition to cleaner cars, more efficient homes and ultimately to a future where we significantly reduce our carbon emissions. After the challenges of the past year, we can’t wait to see real people, test drive real cars and learn about real solutions to our climate change emergency.”
The event will also be the official UK debut of the brand new Nissan Ariya electric crossover, as well as all-electric motorcycles, e-bikes, e-scooters (including our very own Pure Air e-scooter) and classic car conversions.
EVision’s EVs at Fully Charged OUTSIDE
For those of you not able to attend the event over the weekend, we thought we’d take a look at the EVision vehicles there.
BMW i3
When preparing for the event, our easiest decision was deciding to bring the BMW i3 along. We know the i3 is super popular with EVision customers and we love the impact it has on drivers. Check out the BMW i3 Black, alongside the Jaguar I-Pace, at the Fully Charged Show right now!
At EVision, we have three different models of the BMW i3 available for hire; the BMW i3 94AH, 120AH and the BMW i3 Black. These cars have played a vital role in pushing electric vehicles into the mainstream. Since their launch, they have remained as one of the best selling electric vehicles globally.
Jaguar I-Pace
The Jaguar I-Pace is one of the most powerful vehicles we have here at EVision. It’s a four wheel drive that comes with 210 miles of range. Like all electric vehicles, the I-Pace can accelerate with ease. With a maximum speed of 124mph, it only takes the I-Pace 4.8 seconds to reach 60mph! That’s easily matching some Tesla stats!
Inside, its modern and clean interior is full of snazzy technology. It comes with two touchscreens; a 10-inch infotainment system and a 5-inch information display. You can quickly connect any mobile devices via Bluetooth, as well as setting up your online streaming accounts, such as Spotify.
With a centre floating console, cup holders and phone holder, this Jag has plenty of space to store your valuables. All of this is benefited from the architecture of the vehicle. At the front of the car, the bonnet scoops to reduce drag while driving. This channels air through the grille and out. The rear diffuser then smoots the airflow from underneath the vehicle.
The I-Pace is a really great option for someone looking for a bulkier, yet luxury, electric vehicle. It’s spacious enough to act as a family SUV, but still has that cool edge that makes it fun and alternative! Check out our cheap leasing deals on the Jaguar I-Pace, here.
Vauxhall Vivaro-e
Our only electric van at the Fully Charged Show is the incredible Vauxhall Vivaro-e, which really is the electric van to beat! It’s one of the best EVs across the board in the UK at the moment and it offers drivers with the longest range out of any other electric van.
Here at EVision, we opted for the slightly bigger 75kWh battery, which should provide drivers with 200 miles of range.
The rest of the Vivaro-e is very similar to the conventional Vauxhall Vivaro, making it the ideal and reliable choice. The biggest change is that the gear lever has been swapped out for a smart looking drive selector switch. This puts drivers at the forefront of the vehicle and allows them to choose between eco, normal and power driving modes.
E-scooters at EVision!
We’ve just received some fantastic all-electric e-scooters, which are available for hire from our Kent site! When you hire an EV through EVision, you can add on an e-scooter for just £6 a day.
These are great fun and brilliant for kids who want to get involved in the EV world. It’s probably not the best idea to sit the kids in the driver’s seat of an Audi e-tron or Tesla Model S, so these are an excellent alternative!
