WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM THE VOLKSWAGEN ID.4?
Range
The 77kWh battery will provide drivers with roughly 250 miles of range on a full battery. This will differ depending on the model. Volkswagen has released the ID.4 Family, Life and Max, so there are plenty of options to suit the drivers requirements. As well as a remarkable range, the Volkswagen ID.4 is capable of a 0 – 60mph in 8.5 seconds. When you take into consideration the size and weight of the EV, this is pretty nippy!
Exterior
Looking to drive an SUV with a difference? Well the Volkswagen ID.4 will offer just that. The ID.4 has been designed with 20 inch alloy wheels as standard, a roof rack for additional storage plus an optional tow bar. The striking LED lights installed on the front and back of the EV will provide the driver with plenty of visibility.
If you’re sizing up the ID.4 it can be compared in size to the Volkswagen Tiguan. With a more rounded, and futuristic design, the Volkswagen ID.4 looks smart and very high-end.
Interior
The minimalist design is also seen within the car as well. Upon entering, the interior initially feels incredibly spacious and very roomy. Drivers and any passengers will benefit from an extensive amount of legroom, and comfortable seats.
When it comes to driving, the gear controls have been manufactured as a knob that can switch between various drive modes. Similar to the BMW i3, that also opted for the comparable feature.
The Volkswagen ID.4 is packed full with an astounding amount of technology including interior mood lighting, voice control as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. All of these features can be adjusted and used within the 10 inch central infotainment screen.

Charging
Charging is the all important question on everyone’s mind when it comes to an electric car. The Volkswagen ID.4 certainly doesn’t let us down. The 77kWh battery can be charged up from 0% to 80% in the space of 40 minutes. It supports 125kW fast charging, as well as using a three-pin plug cable, and a 7.5 and 11kW wallbox. Charging times will differ depending on the type of charger, but ultimately the charging time is very good in comparison to other existing electric vehicles.
Volkswagen does not intend to work on any new internal combustion engine vehicles. Is now the time to make the switch?
