The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is a difficult and challenging time and we know that some people still need a car. EVision are still operating as normal to ensure that we meet our customers’ EV needs. Please be sure to know that we are taking all appropriate measures to ensure the health and safety of our customers and staff are kept to a high standard. This guide will give you what you need to consider if you have booked an electric car hire with us.
Will collecting the car expose me to coronavirus?
To protect you from potential exposure to coronavirus, our staff are strictly following the NHS and government guidelines. If you do choose to collect the car from one of our collection points, the government has published advice on social distancing. Which aims to reduce the social interaction between people to help reduce the transmission of coronavirus. Therefore, we recommend doing some research before you leave the house and gather your questions about the EV.
Once you’ve collected your EV, you are more than welcome to contact our friendly and experienced team about any queries you may have regarding your electric car hire.
Can I get the car delivered to me?
During this difficult time we understand that many will not want to use public transport to come and collect the vehicle. Here at EVision we offer either or both, delivery and collection service for all of our customers. During this our Handover Specialist will wear protective gloves and follow the health and safety guidelines set out whilst talking you through the vehicle and answering any of your questions.
Will my electric car hire be postponed because of coronavirus?
As mentioned, EVision are still operating as per usual. Of course, we are taking extra precaution with our staff and customers. If you have enquired and booked your electric car hire far in advance, please feel free to contact a member of our team to discuss your rental further.
Is it safe to drive an EV?
We strongly suggest booking an electric car hire in order to avoid public transport. This can be difficult for some and especially those in major cities such as central London. As more people refrain from using public transport to minimise this risk of coronavirus infection and start to use other means, we would like to advise our customers about our electric vehicles that are available to hire. In fact, we have hired numerous electric cars to individuals and companies for just this reason.
Vehicles available to hire from EVision:

During this hard time we would also like to advise our customers that all of our Teslas are fitted with HEPA filters. Inspired by the air filtration systems used in hospitals, clean rooms, and the space industry. HEPA filtration systems are capable of stripping the outside air of pollen, bacteria, and pollution before they enter the cabin. These filters also work systematically to eliminate any trace of these particles within the air inside the cabin. This provides the driver and passengers with the best possible cabin air quality, no matter the circumstances around them. So overall, yes, you are more than safe to drive an EV.
